A classic example of a delicious Colombian Washed coffee. Nutty and chocolaty with a burst of brightness and acidity.
This is our first direct relationship with a coffee producer. Santiago introduced us to his families farm while he was visitting family in Swansea. This Castillo coffee comes from a group of small farms in the Antioquia region of Columbia.
These typical smallholder plots between 2-5 hectares each sit at 1700-2000 MASL and focus on clean picking and careful washing processes. This meticulous attnetion to the quality of the cherry lends to a delicious. and versatile coffee suitable for both Espresso and Filter prepration.
The coffee is smooth, chocolaty and hazelnutty with a medium body. This classic flavour profile is roasted to bring out a bit more brightness and acidity.
